The ROOF Emblem, Explained

The Foundation's seal is a compact statement of who we are. Every element carries meaning.

The circular seal: A ring has no beginning and no end — it stands for continuity of service and for a community that closes around the person who needs it most. The seal form also signals that we are a formally chartered, board-governed organization, not an informal effort.
The rising figures: Three stylized people with arms lifted — the literal 'rise' in Rise On One. They are drawn at different heights because lifting is mutual: the one who rises first reaches back. The raised arms read as both celebration and appeal for help, the two states our work moves between.
The word ROOF: Rise On One Foundation abbreviates to ROOF, and the pun is intentional: a roof is shelter, the most basic thing a community provides. Set in bold serif capitals, it anchors the emblem the way stability anchors a family.
Red, white, and blue: The palette and the flag band at the base declare our incorporation and accountability in the United States — a Washington State 501(c)(3) — while our programs serve communities across Washington State.
The ring of stars: Stars encircle the mark for the volunteers, donors, and partners orbiting the mission. No single point carries the light; the ring does.
The motto: “Together, We Rise. Together, We Transform Lives.” — placed beneath the wordmark because the motto is the method, not decoration. Nothing in our model works without the word 'together'.
USA at the base: The foundation stone of the seal names our home and our legal accountability, holding up everything above it.
